May 10 2018, 11:31 pm

The long weekend you’ve been waiting for is almost here, Vancouverites!

If you’re looking for a way to spend your extra time, Tsawwassen Mills has got your back. The mall is hosting a three-day event from Saturday, May 19 to Monday, May 21 that you really won’t want to miss.

This includes a spectacular Vancouver Aquarium pop-up that’s free to visit, plus tons of opportunities to get amazing discounts when you shop. And since we’ve been seeing a lot of sunshine lately, you’ll want to get your summer wardrobe sorted asap.

So, to help you see why Tsawwassen Mills is the perfect place to spend Victoria Day (or the two days before it) we’ve rounded up five things you can enjoy there during May long weekend.

Vancouver Aquarium pop-up

It’s not every day that you get to experience elements of Stanley Park’s most visited site, Vancouver Aquarium, at BC’s premier shopping destination. That’s why this long weekend is going to be one to remember at Tsawwassen Mills. The aquarium’s pop-up at the mall will include live marine animal touching sessions, as well as artifacts like polar bear and grizzly pelts.

There’s also going to be a marine-themed colouring area, marine-themed face painting, and photo opportunities with Ollie the Otter mascot at select times. Plus, you can enter to win one of two family packs to Vancouver Aquarium while you’re there! If you’re the lucky winner you’ll get two adult full-day and two kids full-day tickets. Visit the pop-up at the Promo Court by Entry 3 from 1 to 5 pm this long weekend.

Shopping

There are almost 200 stores, services, and restaurants at Tsawwassen Mills which are all easy to access and indoors. There’s everything from Michael Kors Outlet, Aritzia (which is their clearance store, items are always on sale here), Lululemon Outlet,  a Nike Factory Store, and so many others. Honestly, you’ll want to spend the day browsing around because there’s so much to see/try on.

Long weekend savings booklet

Make the most of your visit to Tsawwassen Mills this May long weekend by saving as you shop at your favourite stores. Simply download the e-savings booklet online before you visit or stop by guest services near any of the entries to the mall to pick up a copy when you arrive. It’s worth your time because you’ll get great discounts at over 60 retailers exclusively at the mall. Participating stores include The Outlet by Harry Rosen, Banana Republic Factory Store, Lole, Levi’s, and PUMA Outlet Store, among many others. Oh, and you’ll even be able to get offers at the food hall and restaurants, too!

Entertainment

Between the shopping and Vancouver Aquarium pop-up,  Tsawwassen Mills has the makings of an ultimate day out in Delta. But it doesn’t end there. There’s also a wide range of entertainment options at the mall like the aquarium-inspired bowling alley at Uncle Buck’s and the indoor skatepark at West 49. Just wait and see how adventurous you’re feeling on the day!

Parking

With more than 6,000 parking spaces available, you won’t be stuck for options upon arrival at Tsawwassen Mills. And since it only takes 45 minutes to drive to Tsawwassen Mills from downtown Vancouver, you can make a day of it without spending all day in traffic. See you there!
