Sushi Pizza is the hottest new addition to the menu at Granville Street’s Urban Sushi. The popular eatery has been around for 20 years and it’s just gotten better with its unique cultural take on what we’re used to seeing as just bread and pizza sauce.
A central hub for Asian fusion food, Urban Sushi is one of the only restaurants in the city that has sushi, poke, Chinese wok stir fry, and more – all under one roof.
Sushi pizza includes a bed of cooked rice as the base, layered with avocado ahi tuna, salmon, Hawaiian classic sauce, siracha aioli sauce, topped with fish roe. This epic Asian take on pizza is incredibly hearty, with just the right kick of spice too. For $12, it’s perfect for either lunch or dinner.
Poke/Urban Sushi
If you’re fancying some poke on the side, you can try it in three different styles; wrap, salad, and bowl.
For one example, Urban Sushi‘s superbowl is the dream. It’s packed with nutrition and light enough that you can enjoy other sides with it. Relish every bite as the textures of these different ingredients send you to another world: ahi tuna, salmon, crabmeat, cilantro, corn, cucumber, dried seaweed, green onion, mandarin oranges, seaweed salad, sesame seeds, sweet onion with Hawaiian classic sauce, and soy honey mustard sauce.
