A pop-up playground is coming to UBC next week

The problem with being an adult is that you don’t get a chance to play games anymore.

Sure you can glue your eyes to a cellphone to play the latest version of Candy Crush, but we’re talking real games, the kind that involve hopping on brightly coloured numerical squares on a cool, crisp piece of asphalt.

Yes we are of course talking about hopscotch, which will be just one of the games that features at this amazing pop-up playground event that takes place at UBC next week.

The event, which takes place outside the UBC Bookstore on Tuesday, February 28; will feature a whole host of classic playground games as part of the Move UBC Campaign.

“Drop by after school or work and don’t miss the special light display that will transform Lee Square into a Pop Up Playground,” the event description explains. “Move your way through games like hopscotch and four squares, dance around to the beat of our DJ, and enjoy some street eats.”

Located outside the UBC Bookstore, Pop Up Playground is free to attend and is open to anyone who wants to attend and hop to their heart’s content.
