This year's UBC AMS Firstweek returns with more than 30 events

Sep 7 2016, 1:47 am

The AMS Firstweek is back again, bringing with it more than 30 events organized by UBC’s student society.

Taking place from September 3 to 17 for two weeks, students will celebrate their orientation in style, enjoying tons of new activities that weren’t possible in previous years. What’s more is that this year’s AMS Firstweek is also focusing on the mental health of students with events like daily yoga with YYoga teachers, free coffee, and free pancakes. Throughout the two weeks there are up to four or five events every day, packed with programming designed for everyone.

We’ve compiled a list to showcase some of the events you can expect during AMS Firstweek.

Pastels and Pinot – September 6, 7:30 pm

Pastels & Pinot is back for a night of warm vibes, good wine, and creativity. Let your creativity flow as you’re inspired by the surrounding artwork in the Hatch Art Gallery.
