Hundreds of U2 fans stuck outside BC Place as concert goes on inside (PHOTOS/VIDEO)

Hundreds of U2 fans are stuck outside BC Place as support act Mumford & Sons play to an almost empty stadium, due to major general admission delays.

It is thought the delays are being caused by problems scanning both the tickets and credit cards of the ticketholders, a method used to prevent ticket re-selling.

To begin with, only one gate was open for general admission, while four were opened for seated admission. Judging from social media, it seems more gates are being opened now.

However things work out, fans have already missed Mumford & Sons, and they are understandably angry – and the scenes they’re posting on Twitter are crazy.
