One of Metro Vancouver’s newest and largest shopping centres is hoping to attract more far-flung customers this spring and summer by operating a free bus shuttle service.

Tsawwassen Mills will operate a coach bus providing twice daily return trips from Canada Place to the shopping centre, with a stop at River Rock Casino Resort next to the Canada Line’s Bridgeport Station.

The 48-seat bus will operate weekends only from April 29 to May 29 and daily from June 3 to September during the following times:

  • Canada Place: 10 am, 12:30 pm
  • River Rock Casino Resort: 10:35 am, 1:05 pm
  • Tsawwassen Mills: 2:30 pm, 5:30 pm

The shopping centre already operates a free shuttle service to BC Ferries’ nearby Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal.

It is also accessible by public transit via three bus routes that stop outside the mall: the 601 South Delta via Ladner Exchange route from Bridgeport Station, the 620 Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal via Ladner Exchange route Bridgeport Station, and 609 South Delta Exchange from Tsawwassen.

2.7 million visitors since October 2016

Tsawawassen Mills opened in October 2016 and features 180 stores, a 1,100-seat food court, an indoor skate park within the West 49 store, and a themed bowling alley inside Bass Pro Shops.

Mall operators claim 2.7 million shoppers passed through the doors during the first six months, and that it is on target to reach six million shoppers by the end of its first year of operations.
