Village Vibe – Performing Arts Series

  • What: Presented in Leigh Square on the outdoor stage every Saturday afternoon in the summer, Village Vibe features emerging musicians. The series provides artists with an opportunity to gain experience in front of a live audience and celebrate their talents. This is a free event, rain or shine.
  • When: Saturday August 4, Saturday August 11 and Saturday August 25, 2018

Off The Grid

  • What: Musicians perform, improvise and react to other players and the overall sound that is produced. New musicians and listeners are welcome.

The Market at Brewer’s Row

  • What: Enjoy over 10 vendors, food trucks and community groups in the heart of Port Moody. Then sit at the gorgeous long table, surrounded by string lights and decked out with gorgeous flowers from Artisan Gifts & Flowers.
  • When: Every Friday from August 10 to August 31, 2018

The Philosopher Kings/ Instagram

  • What: The Philosopher Kings will be headlining Coquitlam’s free Kaleidoscope Arts Festival, which will take place on August 11, at Town Centre Park. The free event returns to Coquitlam for the third year offering a full day of activities, artisans, and entertainment. This year’s event will feature two stages including concerts by pop singer Mathew V and high-energy violinist Kytami. Food trucks will be on site cooking up some delicious bites and don’t forget to check out the craft beer scene.

Blueberry Festival

  • What: Blueberry Festival is the place for all lovers of the delicious, local fruit. Sample the best blueberry products Coquitlam Farmers Market vendors have to offer and learn how to incorporate blueberries into your meals at the blueberry recipe demonstration tent with Karen Curtis.

Downtown Port Coquitlam Car Show

  • What: Enjoy the 4th annual Car Cruise and BBQ on Saturday night, with food, live music and more. Then on Sunday take in the car show with more than 500 vehicles on display. There is also continuous entertainment throughout the day on the main stage, a beer garden, model car building workshop, and a huge children’s entertainment area for kids of all ages.

  • What: The festival is filled with local businesses and artisans, delicious food, live music, and activities for all ages.
  • When: Sunday, August 19, 2018
  • Time: 12 to 7 pm
  • Where: St John’s Street (between Douglas and Moody) – Port Moody

The Comic Strippers: Hot August Nights

  • What: A fictitious male stripper troupe (played by a cast of some of Canada’s best improvisational comedians) perform a sexy-larious improv comedy show.

Port Moody Arts Centre’s 20th Anniversary Birthday Bash

  • What: In honour of the Port Moody Arts Centre’s 20th Anniversary, the Arts Centre is hosting a Birthday Bash.  The festival-style block party will feature free events for the community inside, outside, and around the historic buildings at 2425 St. Johns Street. Activities include live music, vintage cars, food trucks, and family-friendly activities.

Tri-Cities Poetry Slam and Open Mic

  • What: Western Sky Books hosts a monthly poetry reading/slam/open mic featuring local writers and poets. Writers can register ahead by contacting the store, or simply come for the open mic. Writers are invited to bring copies of their books, chapbooks, and art to sell (cash only).
