Vegan soft serve, nut mylk shakes at The Juice Truck's new Yaletown store

It was a sad day for fans of non-dairy “nice cream” shop Nice Vice when the biz called it quits at their modest Yaletown digs. But the plant-based deliciousness has not left the building: It will be back soon, big time, as The Juice Truck is opening up their second brick-and-mortar store in the space this May, with lots of treats in the works.

“The spot will be an evolution of our cafe on 5th Ave,” explains The Juice Truck’s Zach Berman in an e-mail with Daily Hive.

On the menu, expect much along the lines of what’s at their current cafe–things like smoothies, bowls, salads, breakfast foods, and sweet treats like their almond butter cups and peanut butter fudge cups. And juice, of course! It will be cold-pressed, both freshly made and bottled.

The Juice Truck’s Yaletown outpost will also debut some very cool items as spring shifts into summer. They’re planning to make vegan soft serve and will offer a Mylk Shake menu, full of cold, creamy shakes made with nut mylk bases.

Thanks to the shop’s space, Berman says The Juice Truck can offer special eats they’ll test out in their new kitchen. Look for an expanded retail section, too, showcasing “supplements, superfoods, and lifestyle products,” he adds.

The 16-seater, which will feature design by Glasfurd and Walker and a build out by Harmony Projects, will be managed by their 5th Ave Assistant Manager, Jenn Campbell, and is aiming for a mid-May open.
