Former CTV Vancouver news anchor Tamara Taggart has announced she’s planning to seek a nomination for the Liberal Party of Canada.
On Instagram, Taggart said she is seeking the nomination for Vancouver Kingsway, with the hashtag #TeamTrudeau.
In the post, Taggart said she wants to use her voice “in a positive way to make a difference,” before hashtagging #TeamTrudeau.
New Democrat MP Don Davies has held the Vancouver Kingsway riding for a decade and remained the incumbent for the past two federal elections, beating out Liberal and Conservative opposition.
Taggart also released a campaign kick-off video, via Twitter.
I have some BIG news. I’m seeking the @liberal_party nomination for Vancouver Kingsway. This is something I’m very excited about + so is my family. I want to use my voice in a positive way to make a difference. I hope you will support me. 🇨🇦 https://t.co/fZbemMz28z #TeamTrudeau pic.twitter.com/WrPedJe5R1
