News of Sweet Jesus’ first foray into BC’s ice cream market broke earlier this week, and now we’ve got an even bigger scoop to share with those looking forward to the brand opening its doors in Metropolis in Metrotown this year.
Set to open in early-to-mid Summer 2018, the Toronto-based trendy ice cream shop will be replacing the Man Cave barber shop on the lower level of the mall in the corridor leading to the super centre (near the public transit exit).
So now that we know exactly where we can find it, what will Sweet Jesus Metrotown be dishing out?
A representative of Monarchs and Misfits told Daily Hive they’ll be serving up its core menu of over-the-top sweet treats, and a soon-to-be-revealed extended menu as well. This will include cones in signature flavours like Birthday Cake, Bangin’ Brownie, and Rocky Road Rage, along with shakes, frappés, hot chocolates, and pints.
Everywhere it touches down, Sweet Jesus aims to create signature snack reflective of the offerings in each of their market (for instance, they’ve done a strawberry feature in Ontario), so Metro Vancouverites can look forward to getting one of their own come opening day.
While there are no other BC Sweet Jesus locations set in stone, there are more Vancouver-area spots in the works (and that goes for Western Canada as a whole).
We’ll keep you posted on the exact opening date for this guy.
