Two people injured in overnight Surrey shooting

Police in Surrey are investigating an overnight shooting in the South Surrey area.

According to a release, officers with the Surrey RCMP responded to reports of gun shots in the 14300 block of Crescent Road just after 2 am this morning.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found two victims suffering from gun shot wounds.

Investigators are canvassing the neighbourhood for evidence and speaking with witnesses. There may be road closures and traffic disruptions in the area to allow the investigation to be conducted.

Few details are available at this time as the investigation is still in its early stages.
