A man in his 40s is dead after a car accident in Surrey on Sunday morning.
According to Surrey RCMP, the accident took place in the 18000 block of Highway 10, around 11:40 am.
In a release, Surrey RCMP said the man’s vehicle was travelling west, when “it went off the road to the right and struck a utility pole.”
The man was transported to a local area hospital in critical condition, but was pronounced dead upon arrival.
The incident is still under investigation, and police said there is the “the possibility of a medical situation being involved.”
