UPDATED: SkyTrain's Renfrew Station reopened after 'roof issue'

Mar 30 2018, 1:09 am

UPDATED at 12:40 pm: Regular train service is resuming. Crews have resolved the issue.

ORIGINAL STORY:

Renfrew Station on SkyTrain’s Millennium Line is closed at this time due to an issue with the station’s roof, according to TransLink.

The public transit authority did not specify the exact problem, except that it is a “maintenance issue involving the ceiling.”

As a result, the station has been closed since just after 10 am and will remain closed until further notice until crews can address the issue.

Trains are not stopping at the station; a shuttle bus is in place between Commercial-Broadway Station and Rupert Station.

TransLink says “crews are working hard to finish this necessary work,” which will result in a station closure for at least two hours.

The Expo Line is not affected.
