Vancouver Police are investigating after a shooting in Vancouver on Saturday night injured three people.

Shortly after 9:15 pm, police responded to a call that several shots were fired around East Broadway and Ontario Street. Officers found three injured people who were treated immediately, including two who are in hospital in serious condition.

Investigators believe a Vancouver man in his early 20s, who was taken to hospital with serious and life threatening injuries, was targeted in the shooting.

A 15-year-old Coquitlam teen, in a vehicle driving in the area at the time of the shooting, was seriously injured and taken to hospital as well.

Another man in his 30s, who police believe was not a target, was treated for minor injuries at the scene and released.

Investigators are currently unclear as to why the incident took place, but VPD now has over 30 officers working the case.

Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the shooting or have dash-cam footage and were driving in the area between 9 and 9:30 pm last night, to call 604-717-2500.

No arrests have been made as yet.
