You can audition for the world's first scream choir with Playland

Jun 13 2017, 4:00 am

Has anyone ever told you that you’re good at screaming?

Well, Playland at the PNE wants you to send them a video of yourself screaming. Yes – this is a real thing.

You’re probably wondering why, and it’s because they’re putting together the world’s first scream choir with the sound that’s inspired by the most common one that people make on the rides at Playland.

The officials at Playland have even hired a real composer to help them do it.

Auditions for this fun choir are open to people of all ages and screaming abilities. And you’ll get celebrity status, as well as a free season pass to Playland if you are selected.

The winners will have their screaming choir experience recorded too. Because you’ll naturally want to share the video of it with your friends, family, and fans.

Here’s how it works:

First, record a short video of yourself screaming to the Playland video vocal guide found at screamchoir.com. Then submit your audition one of three ways:

1. Post your audition on Instagram and tag @pne_playland

2. Direct message your audition to Playland on Facebook @PNE.Playland

3. Email a YouTube link to [email protected]

If you’re one of the lucky winners, you’ll have two rehearsals with professional composer, Bob Smart. And by the end of the rehearsals, you’ll be screaming a classical song like a total champ for a special live performance. Scream-work makes the dream work.

So, get those auditions in before Sunday, June 18 and help Playland turn 2017 into the summer of screams.
