Save-On-Foods Kerrisdale to open with a fresh bar and wellness services

Vancouver’s Kerrisdale neighbourhood is getting a new major grocery store.

Save-On-Foods is hosting its grand opening on Saturday, November 3 at the new 6455 West Boulevard location, on the corner of West Boulevard and 49th Avenue. This will be the company’s fourth location on Vancouver’s Westside.

The 28,000 sq. ft. store will be opening with some unique offerings that will make you reconsider where you’re currently doing your grocery shopping… just saying.

Let’s take a look at the new offerings that you can enjoy from November 3 onwards.

The Fresh Bar

It’s going to be easy to make sure you get your daily dose of fruit and veggies when you shop at the new Save-On-Foods. The store is set to feature hand-cut fruit and vegetable offerings at the first ever Save-On-Foods Fresh Bar.

You can enjoy a selection of hand-crafted pressed juice and signature smoothies prepared fresh in store. We can already tell you that your favourite energy-boosting fresh juice will likely be the Kerrisdale Kickstarter made with kale, spinach, parsley, mint, cucumber, pear and lime. When it comes to the signature smoothies, the Boulevard Berry is made using fresh strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, apple juice, and yogurt.

There’s also going to be a fresh meat and seafood service case where you can get everything you need for BBQs and family dinners.

All of the Pastries

Yes, Save-On-Foods Kerrisdale is opening with a bakery section that will have you coming back for more on those Saturday mornings when all you can think about is a coffee and pastry combo. You’ll be able to snap up items like the Yukon Heritage sourdough and pecan cinnamon buns.

Health and Wellness Services

Explore the new health and wellness services at Save-On-Foods Kerrisdale. There’s going to be in-store wellness advisors to help support customers in choosing supplements and foods that will fit your health needs. Professional brands of supplements like Metagenics, Thorne, and Genestra will be available in store.

The pharmacy will be offering additional services like DNA testing, online medication management, and skin check consultation services on top of the standard pharmacy services. Plus, you can take a nutrition tour with Save-On-Foods’ team of registered dietitians who will lead your group through the store and show you how to tackle food labels and how to meet special dietary requirements.

Adult nutrition tours require a minimum of seven participants and are offered for free to More Rewards members. Kids and school group tours are offered free of charge.
