RunGo Dash for Dogs returning to Stanley Park February 2017

Feb 8 2017, 4:03 am

A non-competitive race for canines and their human companions comes back to Stanley Park on Saturday, February 18.

The RunGo Dash for Dogs is a guided 10 km, 5 km or 2 km run or walk through Stanley Park, with proceeds going to BC and Alberta Guide Dogs.

More than 200 people and 100 dogs have already registered for this year, surpassing last year’s numbers.

The goal, according to organizers is to sell out and raise a total of $10,000 from the event.

This year, participants will also be able to experience walking with a guide dog,  and be lead around while blindfolded by a guide dog-in-training, all for a small donation.

After the run, there will be a social event with pancakes, prizes, and tunes.

Those without dogs are also welcome to participate in the event as well.

For the safety of the working guide dogs, all participating dogs must be on leash and under control at all times.
