Rangoli is moving into original Vij's location
Time for another shift in Vikram Vij’s Vancouver restaurant world: Rangoli, the more casual off-shoot of Vij’s original namesake restaurant, is moving next door into Vij’s old digs.
Set to happen in early 2017, Rangoli’s move will mark the end of 12 years at 1488 West 11th.
As a result of the shift, Rangoli will gain 20 seats (up to around 65 total) and will have a summertime patio. Guests will find a bigger bar, but there will no longer be an extensive market section in the space; customers will be able to purchase Vij’s books (including the exciting new Vij’s Indian: Our Stories, Spices and Cherished Recipes) on site.
Rangoli will be open for lunch and dinner, with an updated menu–though they promise many favourite signature dishes will remain.
Look for the Lebanese restaurant Jamjar‘s new location to go into the vacated Rangoli spot.
