It seems not everyone is on board with the Pokémon GO craze.
A sign describing the game as “the stupidest thing I have ever seen” by an irate tenant of a building – allegedly right here in Vancouver – has gone viral on Imgur. It seems players just can’t stop searching for Drowzees, Zubats, and Pikachus on the property of the building.
The poster of the sign (who is most definitely Canadian, if not from Vancouver) says Pokémon GO is dumber than a host of other things they’ve experienced over the course of their life, including:
- George W. Bush’s presidency
- People taking Jean Chretien seriously
- The first-past-the-post electoral system
- Hammer pants
- Crystal Pepsi
- The Macarena
I guess nobody told them Crystal Pepsi is back?
The post has gone viral, with over 2.1 million views at the time of publication.
Whoever posted the sign finished up their rant with a few words of sage advice for Pokémon GO players:
“There is a bar up the street and around the corner. Go there, have a beer, and seriously think about your life choices.”
By the way, Pokémon GO is now officially available in Canada. We have a feeling this sign won’t be much of a deterrent to players who are determined to catch ’em all.
