Teen stabbed during community celebration day in Pitt Meadows

A 16-year-old is recovering after being stabbed during an annual community celebration event in the Metro Vancouver municipality of Pitt Meadows.

According to Ridge Meadows RCMP, the incident took place, during an annual day-long event known as Pitt Meadows Day.

The day was capped off with a fireworks display at 11435 Bonson Road, and it was during the fireworks that the incident allegedly took place.

Police said the victim suffered serious injuries and is recovering.

They’re also asking anyone who may have been in the area and witnessed the incident to contact them, at 604-463-6251.
