If you’ve ever wanted to try kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, and dragon boating for free, now’s your chance!
This Saturday, and again on July 9, Vancouver’s Dragon Zone Paddling Club is holding a Community Day and everyone is welcome to come along, on your own or with friends.
Energetic and knowledgeable paddlers will provide coaching; you’ll get a full orientation to all paddling activities and gear before heading out on to the water for 45 minutes.
Three 45-minute dragon boat paddling sessions are available, starting at 12:30, 1:30 or 2:30 pm. Two one-hour kayak sessions are available by reservation from 12:30 to 3:30 pm.
There’ll also be hot dogs and pop available at a by-donation BBQ going on both days.
