New Westminster offering historic Pokémon GO tour

New Westminster is steeped in history, but what you might not know is that many of the city’s historic landmarks actually double as Pokéstops.

Now the City of New Westminster is taking advantage of the Pokémon GO phenomenon tby offering you a chance to catch ’em all while learning about the city’s rich history with a walking tour.

Historic sights that also double as popular Pokéstops include the CPR Railway Station, the Great Fire of 1898 mosaic, and Ab Ovo – The Fertile Nest.

The Poké-tour starts at Anvil Centre at 10:30 am, but arriving early is recommended – lures will be dropped, allowing for prime Pokémon capturing prior to and after the event.

While the event is totally free, registration is recommended.
