Insanely long lines at MUJI opening day began outside Metrotown mall (PHOTOS, VIDEOS)

The opening of Metro Vancouver’s first MUJI store was such a huge attraction that prospective customers had to wait in a long snaking line that began outside the shopping centre in the parking lot.

Thousands of people streamed through the Japanese clothing and household goods store at Metropolis at Metrotown on Saturday, August 26. Some people waited for as long as 90 minutes to get into the store.

The 7,700-sq-ft store on the mall’s ground level, across from the Disney Store and Sephora in the Hudson’s Bay wing, is the largest MUJI store in Canada.
