One of Vancouver’s worst-kept culinary secrets is the insane deliciousness that is Campagnolo Upstairs’ Dirty Burger. The man behind the beef is Chef Robert Belcham, and for a few months now he’s been doing a burger pop-up at The American, which is now going permanent.
Called Monarch Burger, the slim menu keeps it real; you have your choice of a hamburger, cheeseburger, double cheeseburger, veggie burger, and grilled cheese, with sides of fries, poutine, and a kale Caesar.
Customize your burger with all sorts of add-ons, and get ready to grab those napkins to sop up all that juicy goodness. (PS, Belcham is fond of using the Instagram hashtag #sofuckengood, so you’re in for some f-bomb worthy grub.) Hit Monarch up from 5 to 7 pm daily and score the Burger and a Beer deal for $12.
Burger lovers will find Monarch at The American, which is the revamped pub space on Main Street in the former Electric Owl spot that boasts 150-seats, communal tables, and plenty of beers. Bonus: Kids are welcome until 10 pm, so if you want to make it a family burger night, it’s a can-do.
Monarch Burger officially launches on Friday, April 28. They’re up and running Thursday through Saturday from 5 to 11 pm and Sunday through Wednesday 5 to 10 pm. Go get some!
