Metropolis at Metrotown has just launched a brand new virtual reality 360° exhibit that can take you on a journey across the country’s most famous landscapes.

It’s called ‘Canadian Compass: Adventures in Every Direction’ and you can try it for yourself at the mall’s Grand Court until Monday, July 3.

So now you can take a break from shopping and enjoy the journey as you travel from the massive waves of Niagara Falls to the rugged Rockies, and to the Northern Lights in the Northwest Territories – in just two minutes.

The temporary exhibit is free and open to the public from 12 pm every day for the course of three weeks to celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday. And to celebrate, we’re giving you the chance to win a $500 gift card for Metropolis at Metrotown.

You’ll have the chance to take tons of selfies with the country’s most iconic landscapes as your background when you hit up this new VR exhibit. And you’ll have the option to make a donation and print out cool digital postcards on the spot at the Metropolis photo booth.

That means you’ll have something to remember the special day by and you’ll be doing something good too as all proceeds raised will be donated to Burnaby Community Services. And by taking a ride on the Metropolis Express Train, you’ll also be helping out Burnaby charities as all proceeds raised will be donated to them.

While you’re at Metropolis at Metrotown make sure to stop by one of the contest kiosks for a chance to win a grand prize of a $1,000 shopping spree or a $250 Metropolis at Metrotown gift card as there will be three up for grabs every week.

To launch the Canadian Compass celebration, 30 new Canadians took an oath of citizenship at the mall on June 12, during an official Canadian Citizenship Ceremony.
