Even though winter is right around the corner, many of Metro Vancouver’s farmers’ markets continue right into the colder months.

Riley Park Farmers’ Market

Formerly known as the Nat Bailey Farmers’ Market, the market was renamed after being changed to a year-round event. Visitors will be able to find over 30 producers and a selection of food and coffee trucks. The market also has amenities such as bike racks, an ATM on-site, and at times, live music. Ample parking can be found at the Nat Bailey overflow lot and the Riley Park lot. Visitors are asked to respect the local neighbourhood and refrain from parking on residential streets.

When: Every Saturday from November 3, 2018, to April 28, 2019

Cannery Farmers’ Market

The Cannery Farmers’ Market features local artisanal products and makers and will bring thirteen markets to Steveston. While local fruits, vegetables, and meats are the highlight of the festival, visitors can also enjoy free admission to the Gulf of Georgia Cannery National Historic Site (on market days), as well as guided heritage tours by donation.

When: Sundays from October 21, 2018, to April 28, 2019

Granville Island Public Market

The popular indoor market is a permanent, year-long attraction. Visitors are dazzled with a colourful assortment of food and produce stalls, handcrafted goods, and a number of unique gifts, often blending wares from the ocean, oven, and field.

Hastings Park Farmers’ Market

With over thirty farmers and producers, the Hastings Park Winter Farmers’ Market makes it easy to keep meals farm-to-table. Highlights of the weekly event are winter produce, ethically-raised meat, fish, and eggs, artisanal cheeses, bread, craft alcohol, wild harvested products, and delicious food truck offerings. This year’s edition of the market is boasting more than 20 new vendors.

Port Moody Winter Farmers’ Market

In 2008, the Port Moody Winter Farmers’ Market began as a biweekly market at in the Port Moody Rec Centre.

The weekly market has since evolved into a local stop for BC produce, artisan crafts, and phenomenal baked goods.

The Winter Markets at the New West Farmers Markets are held on the first and third Saturday of every month from 11 am to 3 pm. The event boasts a fantastic showing of local farmers, artisans, chefs, and bakers.
