Eat your heart out at these epic Metro Vancouver night markets

It’s getting warmer and that means it’s time for the Metro Vancouver night markets to set up shop and open their gates for all of us hungry, thirsty, and lively marketgoers.

These markets bring together the best food trucks and purveyors from the surrounding area, along with awesome entertainment and live music. People can always pick up some swag shopping at these markets, and it’s a great place to head to make some unique memories with friends and family during summer 2017.

Richmond Night Market

The Richmond Night Market is returning on May 12, people. This market draws crowds from across the province who travel to taste to rows on rows of vibrant cuisine offered and check out the diverse line-up of nightly performances on to 50-foot entertainment stage.

Day/Time: Fridays and Saturdays 7 pm to Midnight, Sundays and holiday Mondays 7 to 11 pm
Dates: May 12 to October 9, 2017
Location: 8351 River Road (nearby Bridgeport Station)
Admission: $3.75 (regular admission). Kids 10 and under, seniors 60 and up are free. Zoom pass (up to 7 visits) is $20.

Illumination Summer Night Market

First there was the International Summer Night Market, then, there was the Panda Market, now, there’s the brand new Illumination Summer Night Market. This event features over 300 different booths including over 200 retailers and 60 food ones. Illumination will feature special weekends dedicated to themes such as Music Festival Weekend, Culture Festival Weekend, and Music, Dance, and Singing Competitions.

Days/Time: Friday and Saturday from 7 pm to midnight, Sunday from 7 to 11 pm, and long weekends from 7 to midnight.

North Vancouver’s Shipyards Night Market

Back at it again, the North Vancouver’s Shipyards Night Market is returning for summer 2017. Gathering some of Vancouver’s best food vendors, this free event will feature a full farmers and artisan marketplace along with local food trucks and live entertainment weekly. Shipyard Plaza in North Vancouver will be transformed into a vibrant night market every Friday night starting May 5.

Day/Time: Fridays 5 to 10 pm
Dates: May 5 to September 29, 2017
Location: Shipbuilders’ Square – 138 Victory Ship Way, North Vancouver
Admission: Free
