Kitsilano Car Free Weekend 2017 brings big block parties this June

Car Free Weekend is set to hit Kitsilano for another year this summer, filling the streets with block parties of all shapes and sizes.
The Kitsilano Block Parties celebrating Car Free Weekend will take place on Saturday, June 17 and Sunday, June 18.
Since the block parties are organized by locals, they’ll all have different features to offer, which may or may not include dance, music, couches, carpets, share chips and a drink.
Anyone living in Kits can host a block party, if you get the approval of two thirds of your neighbours and successfully apply to Car Free Day organizers.
TransLink is rerouting many of its buses to keep Car Free Days transit free, but there will be transit stops nearby. Entry for all events is free.
