Multiple suspects arrested after alleged 'home invasion' in Coquitlam

Two individuals of a Coquitlam household were in for a scare after an alleged home invasion took place yesterday afternoon.

Just after 1:30 pm, Coquitlam RCMP received a 911 call from a residence located in the 4000 block of Liverpool Street in Port Coquitlam.

According to the police report, there were two people inside the home during the time of the invasion. One of the victims was treated for a minor injury, although details remain unclear.

Police investigators managed to track several suspects to a home in the 10300 block of Slatford Plae in Maple Ridge.

Several arrests were made and the home on Slatford Place has since been secured for further investigation.

At this time, no formal charges have been laid, no names have been released, and the number of suspects involved or arrests made have not been made public.

Cpl. Michael McLaughlin, officer of the Coquitlam RCMP comments that “the Coquitlam RCMP is working with Maple Ridge RCMP to make sure that the public is safe and the integrity of the investigation is not compromised.”
