Aug 6 2017, 11:07 pm

A young man was seriously injured in a hit-and-run collision on the Granville Street Bridge early this morning.

According to Vancouver Police, the incident occurred at approximately 2 am when a 22-year-old man was walking in traffic and hit by a vehicle driving southbound in the far left centre-lane of the bridge.

He was rushed to hospital with serious injuries, which are now believed to be non-life threatening.

Police say the driver of the vehicle did not remain at the scene, and it is likely the suspect vehicle sustained damage to the front driver’s side headlight.

Investigators with the VPD’s Collision Investigation Unit say they would like to speak to the driver of the vehicle, and are asking the driver, or anyone with information about the incident, to contact them at 604-717-3012.
