Even though there aren’t many traditional foodie holidays in November, there are still a ton of amazing events where you can eat, drink, and celebrate with friends and loved ones. Here are 17 food events you can attend this season.

Vancouver Craft Cider Festival

The Vancouver Craft Cider Festival is making its debut this year, and cider enthusiasts from across the province are excited to see what it’s all about. Expect tastings of ciders from around the province, pair-able foods, and lessons from some of BC’s best cider educators. With a ticket you’ll receive three drink tokens and souvenir glassware.

When: Sunday, November 25 from 1 to 5 pm

Whistler Cornucopia


Whistler’s exciting 11 day and night mountain festival is back. This celebration of all things food and drink has an incredible lineup of events, tastings, and seminars planned for attendees. Festivities will highlight the palate of the Pacific North West through events like the brand new Cornucopia Wine Summit running alongside Cornucopia’s wellness microfestival, Nourish, and the Cornucopia Kids cooking day. Some events are sold out already so check out the ticket availability and secure your spot.

Watershed Dinner Series 

Chef Chris Whittaker will prepare a dinner paired with wines from the Southern Okanagan. Some of the wines being served are sold out, like the Cab-Zin Ambra, so this tasting at Forage is an incredible opportunity for wine lovers.

Neighbourhood Noshing

Young apprentice cooks from Fairmont Hotels located in the Pacific Northwest region will come together and show off their skills at the 12th Annual Culinary Apprenticeship dinner. The theme for the dinner this year is ‘Neighbourhood Noshing’, meaning each dish will showcase a different dining district in Vancouver. Taking you from Granville Island to East Vancouver and everything in between, each hotel will be creating a dish unique to its area. Interactive chef stations, wine pairings, cocktails, and a reception await guests at this event.

Food Talks and Vancouver Foodster founder Richard Wolak is back to host the 14th volume of this informative event. The theme is “From Boat to Table – the Sustainable Seafood Supply Chain” and speakers include entrepreneurs, scientists, and chefs. Vancouver Firefighters’ Umbrella Day

The Vancouver Firefighter Charities are putting on their third annual Umbrella Day Campaign in support of Snacks for Kids. The team at The Flying Pig in Gastown will be hosting an event and keeping the fundraising festivities going into the evening. At this event expect hors d’oeuvres, entertainment, refreshments, and the chance to meet Vancouver Firefighters.

Wood Fired Cucina Dinner

CinCin Ristorante’s Executive Chef Andrew Richardson has written his debut cookbook called Wood Fired Cucina. To celebrate the release the chef invites the public to a book launch and dinner that coincides with the restaurant’s annual Mushroom & Truffle Festival. Expect a tasting of flavours, flights, and funghetti throughout this five course dinner.

Tartine and Maple Cooking Demo and Dinner: Fall Flare

This event is all about celebrating fall and creating comfort food with seasonal ingredients. Watch a cooking demo of dishes like Butternut Squash Crispy Filo Ravioli,Veal in Cream Sauce, and Spiced Poached Pears. A savoury welcome snack and two glasses of wine will be provided to guests, and all the demonstrated recipes will be printed and provided. Relax and enjoy a dinner after the demo.

Pig And Pinot

Chef Alex Chen and his team will offer guests an all-inclusive, ‘nose-to-tail’ menu that includes pork belly porchetta, confit and glazed pig’s head, chipotle-spiced pig’s tails, crunchy pig’s ears as well as a variety of sides, accompaniments and dessert along with a Pinot Gris reception courtesy of Cedar Creek Estate Winery. Café Medina: Front of the Line Movember Fundraiser

An Evening With Tableau Bar Bistro & Laughing Stock Vineyards

Chef de Cuisine Garett Blundell welcomes winemakers David and Cynthia Enns for a collaborative evening featuring French-inspired cuisine, and one of British Columbia’s top vineyards. Visiting from the Okanagan’s Laughing Stock Vineyards, David and Cynthia will join guests for dinner at Tableau Bar Bistro to share winemaking anecdotes, answer questions, and pour wine pairings with each course. Caviar Festival at Ancora 

For the second year in a row, Ancora Waterfront Dining and Patio will unveil a selection of feature dishes for this exciting event. Executive Chef Ricardo Valverde has crafted an elegant ensemble of caviar menu items inspired by Ancora’s Peruvian-Japanese concept, available throughout Caviar Festival. Guests can indulge in a selection of five dishes, such as smoked trout caviar, complemented by bold squid ink linguini and uni with house bacon and beurre blanc ($20); and caviar aficionados will particularly enjoy Ancora’s pure caviar tasting ($180), starring Siberian, Ossetra and Northern Divine varieties served with potato blinis, crème fraiche and chives.
