Fog continues to blanket Metro Vancouver Friday (PHOTOS)

The fog over Metro Vancouver continued to hang around on Friday and is forecast to settle over the city right through the weekend.

According to Environment Canada, the fog is being caused by a strong ridge of high pressure over BC, along with moisture trapped under a temperature inversion.

It’s been so thick this week that a fog advisory was issued, warning people of “near-zero visibility” conditions.

And while it may be hard to see through it clearly, the fog does make for something pretty cool to look at. Residents throughout the region have been snapping and sharing photos of the exceptionally foggy conditions.

Here’s what Vancouver looked like through a foggy lens on Friday.
