Hello ski season: first snow already falling on Whistler mountain (PHOTOS)

We haven’t even officially said goodbye to summer yet, but up in Whistler it’s already snowing!

According to Whistler Blackcomb, this is the first snow ahead of this year’s ski and snowboard season – and that’s reason enough to get excited.

Sure it may only be a light dusting on Whistler Blackcomb, but if the latest predictions of La Niña prove true, this could be the start of some serious powder.

The white stuff is also falling on Blackcomb, as documented by Whistler skier and biker Austin Ling on Instagram:

That’s enough to get us dragging our snowboard and skis out of storage – it’s time to get mountain ready for another year folks!
