Police looking for witnesses, video after fatal collision in Surrey

After a fatal collision last week claimed the life of a 24-year-old man in Surrey, police are now reaching out to anyone who may have witnessed the accident, or has daschcam video of the crash.

The accident, which involved a motorcyclist and an SUV, happened on the evening of June 4, around 9:50 pm, at the intersection of 88 Avenue and 126 Street.

According to police, the motorcycle was travelling westbound on 88 Avenue, and the SUV was eastbound on 88 Avenue, making a left turn (north) at 126 Street when the collision occurred.

The 24-year-old motorcyclist was seriously hurt in the crash and was taken to hospital, where he later died of his injuries. The driver of the SUV remained on scene and cooperated with police.

Anyone who witnessed – or may have video footage –the collision or the vehicles driving in the area prior to the collision, are asked to contact Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502.
