Farmhouse Fest: Saison and Wild Ale Festival returns to UBC Farm this July

Jun 13 2017, 12:05 am

Back for its third year at UBC Farm, Farmhouse Fest 2017 is going down on July 8 from 11 am to 6 pm – and it’s gonna be good.

This one-day event is a celebration of local and international makers of saisons, sours, ciders, and wild farmhouse ales.

This fest focuses on a more specific range of beer styles, so it’s a fantastic way to broaden your brew knowledge and taste some creations you wouldn’t normally reach for like beverages known for their fruity, tart, peppery, funky, dry, and sour flavours.

Your ticket to this event gets you entry, a tasting glass, and five drink tokens (4oz per drink), if you purchase an early access ticket you’ll receive ten tokens. All beers will begin being poured at noon until they sell out, so be sure to get there on time.

Festival operators say patrons can expect more cider this year – check out the full list of beers and ciders here.

For food, festivalgoers will have their choice of grub served hot from stellar food trucks including Tacofino, Melt City, Fat DuckLe Tigre, and Via Tevere Pizzeria.

This event is outdoors and will be going on rain or shine, so be sure to check the weather before heading down to this bustling celebration of all things brews.
