Family Matters: Pop-up collaboration dinner features top Calgary chef

Bringing together food, art, music, as well as creating a space for a vibrant communal meal, FAM INC is a way for the food industry to create a sense of family while sharing exciting food, drink, and conversation.

For the sixth installment of the itinerant pop-up called “Family Matters,” FAM is holding a six-course dinner with beer pairings from Steel & Oak at Chef Jefferson Alvarez’ new venture, Cacao, on Monday, November 21.

While Alvarez and Cacao are the gracious venue hosts, in the kitchen will be a two-city collaboration featuring Chef Mark Singson of Vancouver, and Chef Sean MacDonald of Calgary.

MacDonald is the Executive Chef of MARKET in Calgary, where he creates artful plates using seasonal ingredients with maximum flavour. He was the recipient of the Alberta Regional Hawksworth Young Chef Scholarship in 2015. Back in August, MacDonald welcomed Alvarez to MARKET for a special collaboration dinner in Calgary.
