Eat Well Do Good: Pop-up organic market in Vancouver for a good cause

Oct 1 2016, 12:01 am

A pop-up organic market is coming to Vancouver that not only allows you to fill your cupboards with great food, but it’s all for a good cause too.

Nature’s Path is putting on their 8th annual Eat Well Do Good event on Tuesday, October 4. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society.

Eat Well Do Good will be taking place at two downtown locations: the Vancouver Art Gallery on the south side, and London Drugs at Granville and West Georgia.

In both locations, grab-and-go lunches consisting of gourmet sandwiches and salads will be available, while the main location at the Art Gallery will also feature $25 pantry bags full of healthy Nature’s Path food, live entertainment, and workshops on how to eat healthy on a budget.

Over the past seven years, Nature’s Path has raised more than $1 million worth of food for local food banks through Eat Well Do Good.

Arran Stephens, co-founder and CEO, was inspired to create the annual fundraiser in 2009, after hearing the Dalai Lama speak about putting compassion into action.

Now Nature’s Path has committed to doubling your donation to feed more people – their goal is to donate 40,000 pounds of food – that’s 250 shopping carts.

Eating well and donating to a good cause – what could be better?
