Add another to the list picking the Vancouver Canucks to finish at the bottom of the NHL standings in 2016-17.

After USA Today picked the Canucks to finish last with 65 points – six points behind the next closest team – EA Sports is piling on.

EA, the producer of the popular NHL video games, have the Canucks pegged to be even worse. The NHL 17 season standings simulator has Vancouver finishing with 63 points, 11 points back of the next closest team.

Preseason predictions have not been kind to the Canucks, with many bookmakers having them with the worst odds to win the Stanley Cup in 2017.

Last year, the Canucks finished in 28th-place, ahead of only Toronto and Edmonton. Vancouver is in the midst of a quasi-rebuild, incorporating young players into the lineup, while still trying to make a push for the playoffs.

We’ll see if the Canucks can prove their doubters wrong, beginning with their first game on October 15th.
