Drai's Vancouver nightclub has officially shut down

It’s a sad day for Vancouver party-goers. Drai’s Vancouver is officially closed for business.

The 8,000-square-foot club located inside the Trump International Hotel & Tower and includes a mezzanine, outdoor patio, and indoor pool opened in Vancouver in March 2017.

In an email, Drai’s VIP Service Manager Dave Brown said that the club’s last day of business was on September 4, 2018.

“After that date Drai’s Vancouver will no longer be offering the leading nightlife experience in Vancouver.”

Promising to bring Vancouver a Las Vegas-style party experience, Drai’s Vancouver was the nightclub’s first Canadian location.

Brown said closing the business was “not an easy one.”

“We enjoyed the relationships with our customers over the years,” he added.

Guess we’ll have to find a new place to pop that that $2,000 bottle of champagne.

Update:

Drai’s has issued this statement following the closure of the nightclub:

“Drai’s Vancouver is closed while we work on creating a fresh, new concept for the space. After an exciting year operating as a night-club, we feel that our clientele will be better served with a high-end lounge. Over the coming months,  the space will still be available for private functions and events. We anticipate that the new concept will open by the end of the year, and we look forward to welcoming you back.”
