Crunchtime Cereal Bar is about to change your life

Brace yourselves cereal lovers.

A pop-up cereal restaurant called Crunchtime Cereal Bar is opening for two days only in the heart of Gastown.

On Saturday, October 1 and Sunday, October 2 from 8am to 6pm head to 311 West Cordova Street to fill up on all your nostalgic favourites.

Crunchtime will be serving domestic and international cereals in all shapes, sizes, and flavours. In case you don’t get enough sugar in your cereal, there will be toppings available as well. These will include chocolate chips, gummy bears, and sprinkles.

If this spot’s Instagram is any indication of what the interior is going to be like, we pretty much want to live in there this weekend. Expect a “neon-meets tropical” escape complete with a cereal curtain that will be everything every Instagrammer ever dreamed about.

Crunchtime will be offering $5 bowls of the classic breakfast food, and for 75 cents more you can get almond, soy, or chocolate milk in your cereal. Toppings will be 50 cents a pop, but don’t worry about it if you want them all, because all proceeds go towards Backpack Buddies, a charity that supplies kids with food during non-school hours.

Like The Cereal Killer in the UK, Cereality in the Dallas, and the Kellogg’s Cafe in New York City, Crunchtime will serve as Vancouver’s hub for cereal lovers – at least for two days!

You won’t find a completely balanced breakfast here – but you’ll definitely find happiness.
