Vancouver Police are continuing to investigate what they now say are two homicides in Vancouver’s Marpole neighbourhood yesterday.

Around 1:30 pm, police were called to a home on West 64th Avenue near Hudson Street.

When they arrived, officers found a man and woman, both in their 60s, dead inside the home.

So far, police said, a motive for the killings isn’t clear yet and they are now reaching out to the public for any possible information.

“As our detectives collect information and put the pieces of this puzzle together, we are encouraging anyone with information about the deaths – regardless how unimportant they think it may be – to contact us immediately,” said VPD Const. Jason Doucette

He added investigators are working with the BC Coroners Service to confirm the identity of the victims, and will then be notifying next-of-kin.

These are Vancouver’s 14th and 15th homicides of 2017.

Anyone who may have information about these deaths is asked to call 604-717-2500 or, to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477, or leave a tip online at solvecrime.ca.
