Heading to your a craft market is a great way to kick off the holiday season and support local vendors and artisans.

Here are 25 craft fairs and markets where you can get stocking stuffers and unique one-of-a-kind gifts while getting into the Christmas spirit.

Vancouver

Eastside Flea Holiday Markets

This flea market is more like a party because it has a DJ, beer, and a delicious selection of hot eats from a variety of food trucks. Check out the 50-plus vendors offering plants, collectibles, handmade items, and vintage clothing.

When: November 4 to 6 and 18 to 20; December 2 to 4 and 16 to 18; Friday evenings from 6 to 10pm and Saturday and Sundays from 11am to 5pm.
Where: The Ellis Building – 1024 Main Street, Vancouver
Price: $3 admission, $5 for a weekend pass

Circle Craft Christmas Market

The Christmas spirit is coming to Vancouver a little early this year, as the Circle Craft prepares for its 43rd annual market. The Circle Craft Christmas Market hosts more than 300 different artisans and vendors from across Canada, and features everything from pottery to fashion to craft distilleries. In total, there will be more than 50 new vendors to the market, as well many established artisans.

When: November 9 to 11, 10 am to 9 pm. November 12, 10 am to 7 pm. November 13, 10 am to 5 pm.
Where: Vancouver Convention Centre West, 1055 Canada Place
Price: $15 for adults, $12 for seniors and students. Save $2 on advance tickets when you buy online

Christmas At Hycroft

Enter the Hycroft Edwardian mansion during the holidays and you’ll find all three of its floors decked out in seasonal splendour along with a variety of unique boutiques and crafters along with 25 local artisans. Outside the manor, the courtyard will be buzzing with activities and entertainment including Emelle’s Catering Trailer.

When: Thursday, November 17  to Saturday, November 19 from 11am to 9pm, and Sunday, November 20 from 11am to 6pm.
Where: Hycroft Manor – 1489 McRae Avenue, Vancouver
Price: $15 admission, kids 13 and under free.

River District Craft Fair

The River District Craft Fair aims to support local businesses by featuring BC artisans from the area. Head here to get your holiday fill of food and gifts.

When: Sunday, November 20, Sunday, November 27, and Sunday December 4 from 11am to 4pm.
Where: River District Centre – 8683 Kerr Street, Vancouver
Price: Free admission.

Dunbar Holiday Craft Fair

The 34th annual Dunbar Holiday Craft Fair will feature thousands of handmade crafts, 140 local artisans, various entertainers, and prizes. Over 2,000 people attend each year and find wonderful gifts and delicious prepared foods such as cakes, cookies, jams, and jellies.

When: Saturday, November 26 from 10am to 5pm.
Where: Dunbar Community Centre – 4747 Dunbar Street, Vancouver
Price: $5 admission at door, $4 online.

Kensington Holiday Craft Fair

The 9th Annual Holiday Craft Fair at Kensington Community Centre will feature holiday gifts and stocking stuffers made by talented local artisans along with raffle and door prizes for attendees. This fair also offers free parking.

When: Saturday, December 3 from 10am to 4pm.
Where: Kensington Community Centre – 5175 Dumfries Street, Vancouver
Price: Free admission.

Vancouver Christmas Market

The 7th annual authentic German-inspired Christmas Market creates the perfect atmosphere to get into the holiday spirit. Experience a selection of traditional food and beverages, and browse vendors offering authentic wood carvings and toys, knitted goods, nutcrackers, pottery, and other unique gifts. There will be tons of kids activities and the opportunity to ride downtown Vancouver’s only Christmas Carousel.

When: Saturday, November 26 to Saturday, December 31 open daily from 11am to 9pm (closes at 6pm on Christmas Eve; closed on Christmas Day).
Where: Jack Poole Plaza – 1055 Canada Place, Vancouver
Price: $8 per person and $4 for kids, all varieties of tickets available online.

Strathcona Winter Craft Fair

The Strathcona Winter Craft Fair offers 15% of its tables to not-for-profit vendors free of charge, and it also features artists representing Vancouver’s Strathcona and Eastside communities. With an emphasis on local and grassroots vendors, you’ll feel great heading here to get your holiday gifts. Free parking for this fair is available via Pender Street at Princess Avenue.

When: Saturday, November 26 from 10am to 4pm.
Where: Strathcona Community Centre Gymnasium – 601 Keefer Street, Vancouver
Price: $2 at the door, kids under 12 free.

TOQUE Fundraiser and Craft Fair

This annual craft fair is a fundraiser for Western Front. It features a variety of BC artists and artisans and attracts over 2,000 visitors each year. Proceeds from TOQUE support the music programs year-round at Western Front. Joining the impressive roaster of vendors in 2016 are the Capilano Tea House, Carrall St. Canvas Co., Nepheliad, Tony Dubroy, tuk + milo, and Wasted Effort. Drinks and a barbeque will take place on the opening night.

When: Friday, December 2 from 6 to 10pm, Saturday, December 3 from 11am to 5pm, and Sunday, December 4 from 11am to 5pm.

This show is a fun, upbeat shopping experience that showcases artists, crafters, and makers from all over Canada. Find over 265 exhibitors selling gorgeous handcrafted items. This holiday show features beer garden, live music, and food trucks. Make It! also has a silent auction with items donated by vendors where 100% of the proceeds will go to benefit the Union Gospel Mission. Parking for this market is $12.

When: Thursday, December 8 and Friday, December 9 from 11am to 9pm, Saturday, December 10 from 10 am to 6 pm, and Sunday, December 11 from 11am to 5pm.

 Crafty Affaire Holiday Market

The Crafty Affaire Holiday market promotes unique and modern handmade items, as well as some vintage treasures. There will also be food trucks and hot beverages available at this market.

When: Saturday, December 17 from 10am to 5pm.
Where: Croatian Cultural Centre – 3250 Commercial Drive, Vancouver
Price: $2 admission, kids under 12 free.

Shiny Fuzzy Muddy

The annual holiday show of this Vancouver-based artisan collective will feature all kinds of handmade goods and products for the holiday season. This event aims to seek out new artists and connect guests with talented artisans in their community.

When: Saturday, December 10 from 11am to 7pm and Sunday, December 11 from 10am to 6pm.
Where: Heritage Hall – 3102 Main Street, Vancouver

North Vancouver

Children’s Christmas Fair

This will be The Vancouver Waldorf School’s 46th annual Children’s Christmas Fair. This fair aims to bring the magic and wonder of the winter season to life with creative activities and events for children, musical performances, food and beverages, and a wide selection of quality handcrafted toys and gifts for both children and adults, with an adult-only Night Market the Friday prior.

When: Saturday, November 19 from 10am to 3pm.

Etsy Vancouver Winter Market

The Etsy Vancouver Market features over 80 independent markers offering arts, jewellery, fashions, housewares, beauty products, and kids accessories. Check out the directory of stalls here. 50% of the proceeds from this event will go to a charitable Vancouver-based partner of Etsy.

Got Craft? Holiday Edition

Head to Got Craft! to celebrate a decade of handmade goodness. Shop for locally made goods, enjoy plenty of good eats, and craft a DIY project to take home. This fair also offers free swag bags for the first 50 people at the event each day.

Burnaby Christmas Craft Fair

The 3rd annual Burnaby Christmas Craft Fair features 80% local handmade items and live music along with a raffle and prizes. Partial proceeds from the craft fair go towards the music program at Burnaby Central Secondary School.

Alexandra Neighbourhood House Holiday Craft Fair

All handmade, all the time – Krafted Market is on of Delta’s most exciting community markets that takes place during the holiday season. This market has a great selection of local vendors and food producers. Partial proceeds from admission fees go towards the South Delta Food Bank, and there is also free parking.

Coquitlam

Coquitlam Christmas Craft Fair

The 36th annual Coquitlam Christmas Craft Fair will feature over 100 BC artisans. The Poirier Forum will be turned into a holiday wonderland offering attendees artisan crafts, prepared foods, holiday gifts, and decor.

When: Friday, December 2 from 5 to 9pm, Saturday, December 3 from 10am to 4pm, and Sunday, December 4 from 10am to 4pm.

West Coast Christmas Show

The West Coast Christmas Show is a three-day event that features over 200 vendors and live presentations. Christmas music performed by local bands, choirs, and carollers takes place, along with a huge working model train setup. In Santa’s Workshop children can learn model making, sand-art, write letters to Santa, and take pictures with the jolly fellow himself. Once you pay the admission fee, you can come back the other two days free of charge.

When: Friday, November 18 from 2 to 9pm, Saturday, November 19 from 10am to 6pm, and Sunday, November 20 from 10am to 5pm.
Where: TRADEX Fraser Valley Trade & Exhibition Centre – 1190 Cornell Street, Abbotsford

Winter Chill Market

Shop from over 90 local artists and artisans at the Winter Chill Market this year. A $50 shop credit will be raffled among the first 50 attendees along with a gift basket raffle with all proceeds going towards The Empty Stocking Fund.
