CBC to broadcast final Tragically Hip concert live to all Canadians

The country’s unofficial favourite band will not go out with a roar that only a few thousand lucky people in Kingston are there to hear, rather, their final scream will be broadcast across Canada and the world for everyone to feel.

After weeks of outcry over scalpers’ wild markup for tickets for what will be The Tragically Hip’s final tour and concert, it turns out we’re all going to get some grace, too.
The hip’s final concert in Kingston, Ontario will be broadcast and streamed live, commercial-free, on Saturday, August 20th at 8:30pm EST across CBC Television, CBC Radio One, CBC Radio 2, CBC’s YouTube channels, and cbcmusic.ca.
We know we’ll be there.
