Canucks fans, this is your chance.
If you ever wanted to meet your favourite hockey heroes – and maybe get an autograph and a selfie too – you’ll have the opportunity to do so before Saturday’s game against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Canucks players will walk the red carpet past fans as they enter Rogers Arena for the 1 pm matinee game. Players (the uninjured ones) will arrive between 10 and 10:40 am on the plaza at Expo Boulevard and Pat Quinn Way. A ticket to the game is not required to attend the pre-game festivities.
The season is winding down for the Canucks, with just five games remaining on their schedule. Four of those will be played at home, with the team offering a special promotion for each. Thursday’s game is South Asian celebration night, with Robin Bawa in attendance to drop the puck for the ceremonial faceoff. April 3 is Daniel Sedin bobblehead night.
Due to unclaimed prizes throughout the year totalling $400,000, the season finale against the Arizona Coyotes on April 3 could feature the highest 50/50 jackpot in team history.
