The Canuck Place Adventure Race is the ultimate end-of-summer activity and it has almost arrived.
Taking place at Jericho Beach East, on Sunday, September 16, the all-ages event offers a fun athletic challenge for all fitness levels in aid of Canuck Place Children’s Hospice.
You can join in on the fun and adventure by participating in a 15 km scenic trail bike, 6 km run, as well as an exciting obstacle course, all for a great cause. Kids can also enjoy their very own custom race featuring a 3 km bike ride, a 2 km run, and an obstacle course before reaching the finish line.
Race in an event that supports Canuck Place families in BC like dynamic father-daughter duo Paul and Jayda Thandi who participate in the adaptive course for the Adventure Race. Jayda was diagnosed with CHARGE syndrome at birth, a congenital condition that affects many areas of the body.
The adaptive course is designed to be completed on foot or in a wheelchair. Jayda usually uses her powerchair but she wanted to complete the race on foot. She was accompanied by the Canuck Place therapy team and watching her cross the finish line was one of the highlights of the day.
Early bird pricing and registration are still on! Until July 31, registration will cost $60 per participant. You can sign up at canuckplaceadventurerace.ca.
