Richmond Night Market

Running from May 11 to October 8, this wildly popular event is gearing up for a 2018 season filled with epic eats and live entertainment. There will be over 100 food vendors and 200 retail stalls this year.

Enchanted Forest Afternoon Tea

A magical new afternoon tea is coming to town next week, so get ready to step into a real-life fairytale at Fairmont Hotel Vancouver. The West Georgia Street hotel, known for their amazing themed afternoon tea services, just revealed their fall theme: Enchanted Forest Afternoon Tea.

‘Wunderbar: An Oktobeerfest Pop-Up’ at Bells and Whistles

The crew at Bells and Whistles will continue raising their steins in honour of Oktoberfest with a bevy of German-inspired food and drink specials as the Fraserhood hotspot’s ‘Wünderbar’ Pop-Up continues until October 7. In addition to warm pretzels, currywurst, crispy pork schnitzel sandwiches, and apple strudel soft serve, the restaurant is tapping into a number of unique beers such as Dunkel, Hefeweizen and Pilsner from local and import brewers including some sourced straight from legendary Munich brewers Paulaner and Hacker-Pschorr.

Disco Dumplings at Burdock & Co

This weekly series features a savoury dumpling menu, DJ Chris Allen spinning vinyl, and a flashy disco ball setting the mood. Plates are $10 and guests can choose from an assortment of decadent dumplings including nettle and ricotta with wild greens and pork and burdock with charred chili sauce.

Mid-Autumn Festival and Golden Week at H2 Rotisserie & Bar and H Tasting Lounge

As part of its daily breakfast buffet and Sunday brunch buffet, H2 Rotisserie & Bar is featuring the following special additions from October 1 to 8 including its weekday breakfast like congee with accompaniments, steamed dim sum, sticky rice wrapped with banana leaf, and more for its Sunday brunch like Chinese noodles, stir-fried vegetables, beef with gai lan, spring rolls, and mooncakes.

Each Saturday and Sunday until October 7, the traditional Afternoon Tea in H Tasting Lounge boasts an enhanced menu of Asian and European-influenced indulgences, including a mini-mooncake, green-pea cake, BBQ pork puff, Chinese pastry, pannacotta, prosciutto croissant sandwich, dim sum, charcoal bao, braised pork-belly bao, and an open-faced smoked-turkey sandwich. Additional guests can sip on the Golden Flower, a feature cocktail for the annual celebrations.

To celebrate its one-year anniversary Parq Vancouver has launched a ‘Passport To Play’ which gives guests the chance to enjoy a variety of discounts and promotions across the resort. This celebration run from September 29 to October 31. The Passport To Play is available for ages 19+.

Medina After Dark

Brunch destination Café Medina will light up the night and raise funds for a worthy cause when it hosts the latest chapter of its ‘Medina After Dark’ dinner series on October 4 at 7 pm. 100% of the proceeds from each $75 ticket to the event — which will see two of Medina’s chefs collaborate on a six-course ‘elements’-themed dinner — will be donated directly to the Vancouver-based Crisis Intervention and Suicide Prevention Centre of BC, which provides emotional and mental health support services for youth, adults and seniors in distress across the province.

Mission Hill Family Estate Wine Dinner at H Tasting Lounge

H Tasting Lounge, the Westin Bayshore’s sophisticated lobby-level dining destination, presents a special six-course French-inspired dinner, Santé à La Famille, featuring wines from BC’s Mission Hill Family Estate, on October 4, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. During the dinner, Graham Nordin, Director of Wine Experience at Mission Hill Family Estate, will share the story behind the world-renowned Okanagan winery.

Oktoberfest “Das Original” at the Vancouver Alpen Club

If there’s one Oktoberfest event you don’t want to miss this year, it’s the Vancouver Alpen Club’s shindig. Head to 4875 Victoria Drive for one of the many dates this party is going down. There will be German food, beer, and live music all night long.
