Canadian teen Denis Shapovalov upsets Olympic medalist at Rogers Cup

Canadian teen Denis Shapovalov has wowed crowds at the Rogers Cup in Montreal.

Shapovalov, 18, defeated Olympic silver medalist, Grand Slam winner, and former world #4 Juan Martin Del Potro in straight sets to advance to Round 3 of the tournament.

Shapovalov is currently ranked world #143 and Del Potro is ranked #31.

Shapovalov will next play the winner of tonight’s match between world #2 Rafael Nadal and world #55 Borna Coric.
