Bunny Yoga could be the cutest Valentine's weekend event ever

If your idea of a good Valentine’s weekend is to spend it doing yoga, surrounded by fluffy bunny rabbits, then… Well, we’ve got the event for you.

Sunberry Fitness in Richmond is hosting another bunny yoga class on Sunday, February 12 in a special Valentine’s fundraising event led by Cam Lee.

Ten bunnies will roam around the women-only yoga studio, while you practise your yin/flow yoga in a beginners, bunny-friendly class.

“The bunnies usually make their round and pick out their favourite humans to hang out with,” say organizers on their website.

“Some will sit on your mat during your yoga practice with others might try to go under you during a cat-cow.”

All proceeds from the bunny yoga session will benefit Bandaids for Bunnies, a local rabbit shelter, which provides medical care and shelter for abandoned bunnies.

Each ticket sold for bunny yoga will help pay for one rabbit’s food, litter and vet bills for between two weeks and one month, depending on the bunny’s medical history.

Plus, if you bond with any of the bunnies hopping around your downward dog, or any of those at the shelter, they are all up for adoption and fostering.

If you can’t make it to the Valentine’s edition of bunny yoga, never fear, there is more bunny yoga scheduled throughout the year, for Easter, summer and back to school.
