The Kensington-Cedar Cottage community you know is changing.

Strand, a local family-owned developer, and Yamamoto Architecture have submitted a rezoning application for a new project in the East Vancouver neighbourhood. Located on Victoria Drive and Stainsbury Avenue, the proposed project is made up of two buildings, five and six storeys each.

The two buildings will house 149 suites built especially for market renters. Currently, 42% of the homes are family-oriented, with 35 two-bedroom and 27 three-bedroom suites. The proposal also includes indoor and outdoor amenity spaces for residents.

On November 1 the City of Vancouver, supported by Strand, will host a community open house to discuss the proposed development. The open house will provide an opportunity for residents and other community members to review the designs, meet the project team, and share their feedback about the development.
