The legalization era of cannabis in Canada has begun, making this country the second in the world – and the first G7 nation – to legalize cannabis. With the launch of the BC Cannabis Stores website, cannabis prices for the province have been revealed to the public.

For now, Vancouverites (that are 19 years of age or older) will be able to purchase legal cannabis online, or by travelling to Kamloops to check out the only currently open brick-and-mortar store.

Shoppers will have the ability to choose from various strains and have their order filled out by a store clerk, being able to choose between dried buds, ground cannabis, pre-rolled joints, cannabis oil, pills, or oral spray.

Patrons can purchase up to 30 grams per visit and they’ll also need to provide proof of age at the time of the transaction, and again when their package is delivered.

To give you an idea of how much items will cost here’s a comparison of the three different strains offered (Indica, Sativa, Hybrid) and organized them by price from lowest to highest.

Cannabis can cost anywhere from $6.99 to $13.99 per gram and oils can range from $20.99 to $139.99 for bottles – based on size and whether it’s a multi-pack.

Capsules containing THC are also available and a package of 30 can be purchased for $34.99.

It’s worth noting, however, that the prices don’t include tax or the $10 shipping fee.
